Umierov: Ukraine will receive F-16 in short term

Ukraine will receive fourth-generation F-16 fighters in the short term.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umierov during a telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

He said that Ukraine is preparing to receive the F-16, working on infrastructure and technical equipment. Training of pilots and technicians is continuing.

"In the short term, we will receive F-16s. In the medium term, we also placed an order for the Defense Forces of the Future, but this is 2027-2030. The work is underway, we will receive them soon. We are discussing not only F-16s, the list is huge," Umierov added.

He clarified that there are no limits on technology transfer and work with weapons.
