Rak self-propelled mortars from Poland arrive in Ukraine
Rak self-propelled mortars from Poland, which Warsaw promised to hand over to Kyiv in March this year, have arrived in Ukraine.
This is reported by Bild, Censor.NET reports.
"120 mm Rak mortars are mounted on an armoured wheeled platform. Warsaw promised to supply 24 such vehicles to Kyiv back in March. They can fire from a distance of up to 12 km," the statement said.
As noted, these vehicles will help save the lives of Ukrainian mortar launchers, as they will be able to fire while protected by steel armour. After firing, the self-propelled mortar can quickly leave the position and move to a safe distance. The vehicles that have arrived in Ukraine have already been fitted with anti-drone protection in the form of an iron mesh over the tower.
