Rheinmetall to supply tens of thousands of artillery ammunition to Ukraine in 2025

The German company Rheinmetall has received another order to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with several tens of thousands of different types of shells in 2025. The order is worth more than €100 million.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the company's press service.
It is noted that the new order continues a series of orders for artillery ammunition previously placed by the Bundeswehr for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Germany. In July 2023, Rheinmetall signed a new framework agreement with the Bundeswehr in the artillery sector. It provides for the supply of several hundred thousand shells, fuzes, and metal charges.
The value of the new order is in the three-digit millions of euros (over €100 million). The delivery is scheduled for 2025.
The framework agreement runs until 2029, with a potential order volume of around EUR 1.2 billion.
The need to replenish ammunition stocks caused by the war in Ukraine is leading to Rheinmetall receiving large contracts for the supply of artillery ammunition, the press service said.
Rheinmetall's family of artillery munitions includes, among others, the DM121 high-explosive fragmentation projectile, DM125 smoke and camouflage projectile, DM121 SMArt (developed jointly with Diehl Defence), as well as the RH68 version and the range-optimised smoke and camouflage projectiles RH1901 and RH1902.
The group's product range also includes the Assegai family of 155mm universal artillery ammunition manufactured by Rheinmetall Denel, a South African company.
Rheinmetall also offers the Rheinmetall Expal Munitions family of artillery pieces, including the 155mm M107 and 155mm long-range guns.
