Ukraine received €150 million in financial assistance from EU, - Ministry of Finance

Today, December 20, Ukraine received 150 million euros of financial assistance on a non-repayable basis from the EU. The raised funds are part of the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on financing the program "Support for the rapid recovery of Ukraine (Contract for state development and strengthening of sustainability)."

This was reported by Censor.NET, with the reference to press service of the Ministry of Finance.

"Grant funding will help to ensure priority measures for the restoration of critical facilities affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, including transport infrastructure, utilities and services, social infrastructure and residential premises," said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.

The second tranche of 100 million euros is expected in the first quarter of 2024.

The funds will be used to finance both recovery efforts and support small farms and other agricultural businesses.
