Soon there will be "very pleasant news" about ammunition, - Danilov
Kyiv’s allies, as well as Ukrainian industry, are actively increasing the production of ammunition. In the near future we can expect very good news about this.
Secretary of the NSDC Oleksiy Danilov said this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports with the reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"You know that production is currently underway in our partner countries. Moreover, I cannot give out much information about what is happening in our country. But I will give you a little spoiler: we will have very good news on this very subject in the near future," he said.
According to him, not only state-owned enterprises are working, but also private companies, which are fully aware that the world will be in turbulence for the next 10-15-20 years and that everything related to the military-industrial complex will be useful in industrial markets.
As a reminder, Western countries have faced difficulties trying to achieve their own goals of supplying Ukraine with ammunition.
The EU promised to send one million artillery shells by March 2024. But only "480,000 have been delivered or are in the pipeline," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said recently.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the United States has provided Ukraine with more than two million 155-mm artillery rounds. But its own stockpile has also run out, so last summer it decided to send Ukraine cluster munitions.
