Belgorod was attacked by missiles from "Vilkha" MLRS in Russia
The Russian Ministry of Defense and the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, claim that several strikes were launched from the Vilkha MLRS on January 2.

It is alleged that at around 12:00 p.m. local time in the region, the air defense system shot down four targets, and at around 1:00 p.m. another five. Another attack occurred at around 2:30 p.m., shooting down eight missiles.
The Russian Defense Ministry does not say what the consequences of these attacks were, while Gladkov claims that in total, one person was killed and seven others were wounded in the attacks.
The Russian Defense Ministry traditionally blamed the attack on the "Kyiv regime."
As a reminder, the shelling of Belgorod was reported on December 30, 2023. At the time, the Russian Defense Ministry called the attack an "indiscriminate combined strike" using two MLRS Vilkha missiles with a cluster warhead and Czech-made Vampire rockets. According to Gladkov, the strike killed 22 people and wounded 109 others.
