First mini-TPS installed in Ukraine at US expense

Ukraine’s first cogeneration unit ("CGU"), purchased with funds from the United States Agency for International Development ("USAID"), was installed in Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region.
This was reported by the Ministry of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development, Censor.NET reports.
The installation was purchased at the expense of USAID Ukraine - USAID Ukraine as part of the USAID Energy Security Project.
"The plant is equipped with a gas piston engine and generates both heat and electricity to meet the electricity needs of municipal boiler houses. This ensures uninterrupted heat supply to critical and social infrastructure facilities, as well as to residents of apartment buildings," the statement said.
In total, USAID is purchasing 91 cogeneration units for 32 Ukrainian cities and two universities.
