In 2024, payments to teachers will be increased by 21% – Shmyhal
In 2024, salaries for teachers will be increased by 21%, total budget expenditures on education will reach more than UAH 170 billion.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"This year, budget expenditures on education will amount to more than UAH 170 billion. This is an increase of more than UAH 20 billion compared to last year. Payments to Ukrainian educators, our teachers, will be increased by 21%," Shmyhal said at a government meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, UAH 2.5 billion will be allocated for the construction of shelters, UAH 1.5 billion for the New Ukrainian School (NUS), UAH 1.5 billion for the modernization of school canteens, and UAH 1 billion for school buses.
