US imposes sanctions on Russian Defense Ministry assets
On January 11, the US government imposed new sanctions against Russia. The restrictions included assets of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The restrictions include the Ashuluk training ground and the Vladimirіsky Advanced Military Research Complex.
The United States also imposed restrictions against Vladimir Mikheichik, CEO of the State Airline 224th Separate Aviation Detachment.
Separately, it is reported that Washington has imposed sanctions against three Russian heavy military transport aircraft: 2 IL-76MD and one AN-124.
