US maintains ongoing diplomatic contacts with Ukraine – State Department
The United States continues to maintain ongoing diplomatic contacts with the Ukrainian side at various levels.
This was stated on Thursday in Washington, DC, by Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department Vedant Patel, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"The secretary of state is in contact with foreign counterparts, including counterparts in Ukraine," a State Department spokesperson said in response to a request for comment on whether the US and Ukrainian diplomatic missile agencies had any contacts after the start of massive Russian missile attacks.
At the same time, Patel noted that the process of communication with the Ukrainian side is not only at the level of foreign ministers: "The conversations continue, of course, through our ambassador and other staff members who work on these issues."
He also noted that the United States has taken a number of practical steps to support its Ukrainian partners and to hold Russia accountable for its aggression. According to the representative of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the United States will not hesitate to continue to do so.
