Cabinet of Ministers allocates UAH 2.5 billion for construction of engineering and fortification structures – Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated additional UAH 2.5 billion for the construction of engineering and fortification facilities
According to Censor.NET, with reference to Interfax-Ukraine, this was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
"The key task for us this year is to strengthen our defense capabilities. In this context, there are two important decisions today. We are allocating an additional almost UAH 2.5 billion from the reserve fund for the construction of engineering and fortification structures," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday.
According to him, UAH 1.4 billion of these funds will be spent on fortifying the defense borders, and another UAH 1.1 billion will be spent on constructing non-explosive barriers.
In addition, the government has allocated another UAH 120 million from the reserve fund for the State Border Guard Service to strengthen its defense capabilities and engineering and technical equipment of the border.
