Yatseniuk requested to boost visa liberalisation with EU
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk held a meeting on implementation of the Action Plan to liberalize the EU visa regime on Friday, Aug. 7.
Simplification of services provision to Ukrainian citizens was discussed at first place, Censor.NET reports citing the governmental website. The challenge is to provide better opportunities for people, not only for those travelling to the EU, but to protect citizens' rights and opportunities in the country.
A number of issues has been discussed, including document security, integrated border management, fighting against organized crime and corruption.
It was noted that according to the fifth report of the European Commission, Ukraine had made significant progress in implementing the Action Plan to liberalize the EU visa regime.
Also, the arrival of the next mission of the European partners to Ukraine in September this year was discussed.
