Italian Senate approves government’s decision to extend military aid to Ukraine
The Senate of the Italian Parliament approves the government’s decision to extend military assistance to Ukraine through 2024.

The decision was made by 113 votes, 18 senators were against. The document is now being submitted to the House of Deputies for a vote.
The government decree provides for the extension of the permission to transfer military assets to Ukraine until December 31, 2024, in accordance with Italy's international obligations to assist Kyiv.
Only the Italian opposition party, the 5-Star Movement, opposes further arms transfers to Kyiv.
As previously reported, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni is in favor of further arms transfers to Ukraine.
