Number of Russian attacks near Marinka exceeds number of assaults in Avdiivka direction – Tavria Defense Forces
The largest number of attacks by Russian occupants was recorded near Marinka.
Colonel Oleksandr Stupun, a spokesman for the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, said this on the air of the United News telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"The enemy is currently trying to find some weakness and is attacking our defense in different directions. Even the Avdiivka direction was not the most active yesterday, the enemy was active in all directions yesterday, but with different intensity. For instance, while 16 attacks were repelled in the Avdiivka direction, the enemy made as many as 25 attempts to advance in the Marinka direction. In addition, in the Shakhtarsk sector - near Zolota Nyva and Staromaiorske - there were six attempts by the enemy to improve the tactical situation, in Zaporizhzhia near Robotyne the enemy also tried three times to recapture previously lost positions southeast of Robotyne," said Stupun.
He noted that the enemy uses about 300 drones a day, but the Defense Forces successfully neutralize them.
"Our electronic warfare means are working quite productively. While 242 (destroyed drones - ed.) were the day before yesterday, 161 UAVs were neutralized and destroyed yesterday.
