Russian troops do not change the tactics of using the Shahed, only the routes of their movement are changed.
This was stated by Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the air of the nationwide telethon "United News", Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Nothing has changed, the press always likes to say that this is a new tactic of the Russians. Well, they have painted the " Shaheds ", this is something new. There was other information about some use of composite materials to create the fuselage, which may also be something new. But the fact that they fly low, well, they are designed to fly low, just like cruise missiles, to get as low to the ground as possible. They have been flying low from the very first days. Accordingly, when programming a flight, the operator of attack UAVs or missiles must draw it on a map, understand the terrain, where there are high-rise buildings, power lines, towers, etc. All this should be taken into account when planning a flight," Ihnat said.
He added that the low altitude of the Shahed's flight reduces the chances of being shot down by air defense forces.
According to the spokesman, the only thing the enemy is changing is the routes of the Shaheds.
"The only thing they are changing is their routes, because where they flew yesterday, our mobile fire group may already be waiting for them. Therefore, the next day they can shift the route of their next attack by 5-10-15 km," explained the spokesman.
