Zelenskyy appointed Pavliuk as commander of Land Forces, Sodol as commander of Joint Forces, Skybiuk as head of Air Assault Forces, and Plakhut as head of Territorial Defense Forces

Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk has been appointed Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also changed the Commander of the Joint Forces, the Commander of the Air Assault Forces and the Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the relevant decrees published on the website of the Presidential Office.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Lieutenant General Pavliuk Oleksandr Oleksiiovych as Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to the documents, Serhiy Nayev has been dismissed from the post of Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Instead, the Joint Forces will be headed by Yuriy Sodol.

"To appoint Yuriy Ivanovych Sodol as the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," reads Decree No. 71/2024.

Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Zelenskyy also changed the commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Until now, the position was held by Maksym Myrhorodskyi. Ihor Skybyuk became the new commander.

"To appoint Ihor Anatoliyovych Skybiuk as the Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," reads Decree No. 73/2024.
