Spilled grain incident: Polish law enforcement collects evidence, no one has been detained yet

Polish law enforcement officers have not yet detained anyone in the case of spilled grain from sealed trucks that were in transit through Poland to Lithuania.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Eva Chyzh, a spokeswoman for the Kholm police, in a comment to Ukrinform.

According to her, law enforcement officers are collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and plan to submit the case file to the local prosecutor's office soon.

"Yesterday, the police inspected the scene, received relevant information from the drivers, and interviewed witnesses. We are trying to establish the detailed circumstances of the incident and identify the culprit who unlawfully opened these trucks. At the moment, no one has been detained in this case," said Chyzh.

She informed that the case files are currently with the police, law enforcement officers are still collecting evidence, and tomorrow the local prosecutor's office will receive them.

"The prosecutor's office will determine the direction of the proceedings," the police spokeswoman emphasized.

As reported, the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland expects a decisive reaction from the Polish side after the incident at the border, where farmers poured some grain out of Ukrainian trucks near the border checkpoint in Dorohusk.

As reported by Censor.NET, at the Yagodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point, Polish farmers began to destroy Ukrainian grain trucks and spilled it on the road.
