Michal Kolodziejczak, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, said that all Ukrainian grain in transit through Poland to other countries and ports should be inspected.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to PAP.

"Today there will be clear instructions that we will check all grain on the border with Ukraine that is subject to sealing, is subject to export and is only transit grain," Kolodziejczak said.

He noted that the procedures for checking grain at the border are incorrect, and he himself "does not trust any importer or exporter of products from abroad who submits their tests to us".

"Today, at a meeting with various services, I will demand that all grain shipments that are exported and embargoed be tested in Poland. I will push for these rules. This means to be or not to be for Poland, Polish agriculture and me personally, because I will not cooperate with officials and employees who will impose their conditions on me," Kolodziejczak said.

When asked which services he was talking about, he said that they are "responsible for what we have on Polish tables and what comes to Poland".

According to Kolodziejczak, when such grain arrives in Germany and is found to be of poor quality after inspection, "in 99 per cent of cases it is returned to Poland as European grain".
