Ukraine’s national football team won a strong-willed 2-1 victory over Iceland and qualified for the 2024 European Championships.

For the second match in a row, the score was opened by the blue and yellow rivals. Iceland midfielder Albert Gudmudsson scored in the 30th minute.

However, in the second half, the Ukrainians snatched victory and a ticket to the final stage of the 2024 European Football Championship through goals by Viktor Tsyhankov in the 54th and Mykhailo Mudryk in the 84th minute.

The championship will take place in Germany this summer from 14 June to 14 July. The Ukrainian national team will play in Group B against the teams of Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
