Majority of hostile attacks were repelled in Bakhmut and Novopavlivka sectors, over 70 combat engagements there are in frontline over last day - General Staff

Strikes on the territory of Ukraine
As noted, over the past day, Popivka, Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Luhivka, Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Okhrymivka, Kupyansk, Sadove, Tabaivka, Cherneshchyna, Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region were hit by air strikes; Pishchane, Terny, Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Oleksandropil, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Novobakhmutivka, Novoselivka Persha, Karlivka, Orlivka, Ocheretyne, Vodiane, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, Zolota Niva in Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region, Mykilske in Kherson region.
More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Situation in the North
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remains unchanged.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.
Situation in the East
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman sector, our troops repelled 9 enemy attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defences of our troops.
In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Spirne, Ivano-Dariivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by air, tried to improve the tactical situation.
In the Avdiivka sector, our defenders repelled 10 attacks in the vicinity of Berdychi and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to drive our units out of their positions.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy, supported by air power, tried to break through the defences of our troops more than 25 times.
Situation in the South
According to the General Staff, in the Orikhivsk sector, the occupants launched 4 attacks on the positions of our defenders near Staromaiorske in Donetsk region and north-west of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson sector, the enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnieper River. Over the past day, he attacked the positions of our troops 4 times.
Strikes on the enemy
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defence Forces struck 1 control point and 7 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment.
Missile troops destroyed 1 UAV ground control station, 1 air defence facility, 2 electronic warfare stations, 1 ammunition depot and 1 area of enemy concentration.
