Russian regions increase payments for signing contract to participate in war in Ukraine

The Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation has taken first place among Russian regions in terms of the amount of one-time payments to people who sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Kuban authorities decided to increase this payment to one million rubles (over 420 thousand hryvnias).

"I have decided to increase the one-time regional payment to servicemen and volunteers who have signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry from April 1, 2024. It now amounts to one million rubles," said the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratiev.
In recent days, this is the second report of an increase in payments for participation in the war against Ukraine. Earlier, the authorities of Rostov region announced an increase in the one-time payment for signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense to 700 thousand rubles (almost 300 thousand hryvnias).
