German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems is to open another drone production facility in Ukraine with a capacity of up to 1,000 UAVs per year.
This was reported by the press service of the company, Censor.NET informs.
The new drone production facility was launched during a visit to Ukraine by a German delegation led by Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Change Robert Habeck and attended by Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
The new plant will be the company's second facility in Ukraine and is expected to employ around 100 people by the end of the year.
It is expected to increase its production capacity to 1,000 drones per year, including spare parts.
Quantum-Systems will invest up to six million euros in the new production facility over the next two years.

"For the company, this is a vote of confidence in Ukraine and its citizens, which indicates its intention to provide Ukraine with long-term support in defending the country," the company's press service said.
Currently, Quantum-Systems produces dual-use drones at three facilities for the civilian and public sectors. The company employs approximately 250 people. This is the German company's fourth plant in Ukraine.
Quantum-Systems' Vector medium-range drones have been in operation in Ukraine since May 2022.
So far, 212 systems have been provided with funding from the German government. The company said that 500 UAVs are expected to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the year.
