20 April is declared a Day of Mourning in Dnipro for those killed in the Russian attack on the city on 19 April.

The relevant order was signed by the mayor of the city, Borys Filatov, Censor.NET reports.

"In order to honour the memory of the victims of the tragedy that occurred on 19 April as a result of Russian missile attacks in Dnipro and the region, 20 April shall be declared a day of mourning in the city of Dnipro," Filatov's order reads.

In particular, state flags will be flown at half-mast on the city council building, on the buildings of utility companies, institutions and establishments of the city hall.

Missile attack on Dnipro on 19 April

On the night of 19 April, the Russian occupiers carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine, causing significant destruction in Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to preliminary information, at least 9 people were killed, including 3 children, and more than 25 others were injured.

There were 6 dead and 6 wounded in the Synelnykove district, and three wounded in Kryvyi Rih.

In addition, the Russian invaders attacked the railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing one "Ukrzaliznytsia" employee and injuring seven others.
