Russia launched many "distracting UAVs" without explosives in Ukraine at night - DIU

The invaders launched many attack UAVs without warheads at Ukraine at night to deplete air defense systems.
According to Censor.NET, citing RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov.
According to him, Russia is using combined strikes.
"We have witnessed both massive missile strikes and massive drone strikes, and at the same time (missiles and drones - Ed.)," Yusov said, answering the question of why Russian bombers took off during the attack, but no missiles were launched.
The DIU representative added that the Russian Federation continues to look for the best ways to use such technology and tactics.
"It can be noted that this time there was a significant number of so-called distracting UAVs, i.e. without an explosive part. The purpose of which is to deplete and study air defense systems. This is not a new tactic either. The defense forces have been practicing and effectively countering such challenges," Yusov said.
Earlier, the Air Force reported that on the night of July 31, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 89 attack UAVs, all targets were destroyed.
