A military registration document in electronic form - generated in the appropriate mobile phone application - and a printed document with a QR code have the same legal force.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

A person's possession of a military registration document in electronic form, in particular, in the relevant mobile phone application, or in the form of a printed military registration document with a QR code, is equivalent to a military registration document in paper form, as they all have the same legal force.

The relevant official explanation was provided by the Directorate of Digital Transformation in Defense of the Ministry of Defense.

"The military registration document in electronic form allows authorized employees of the TCR and SS, the National Police, and the State Border Guard Service to read it using any means (phones, tablets) that can install the Reserve+ application and have a camera," the explanation says.

Reservation for the period of mobilization

In addition, employers may also use employees' military registration documents in electronic form when compiling lists of persons liable for military service that are offered for reservation for the period of mobilization and wartime. To do so, a person liable for military service may provide the employer with his or her military registration document in both paper and electronic form (including a printed copy).

As a reminder, a military registration document from the Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists can now be obtained on the Diia portal.
