Updating data through "Reserve+" is sufficient for citizens to fulfil their statutory obligations - Ministry of Defence
Updating your personal data does not exempt persons liable for military service from compliance with the rules of military registration.
This is stated in the response of the Deputy Minister of Defence Kateryna Chernohorenko to the appeal of the MP from the Servant of the People party Oleksandr Fediienko, Censor.NET reports.
The MP reminded that from the day the new law on mobilisation came into force (18 May 2024), all persons liable for military service had to update their personal data within 60 days. They had to clarify their personal information by 16 July.
Those who have not updated their personal data will be held administratively liable under Article 210-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences, in the form of a fine of UAH 17,000, Fediienko said.
"Given the numerous appeals from Ukrainian citizens who are concerned about the issue, is updating personal information using the Reserve+ mobile application a sufficient step to ensure that police officers or TCC and JVs do not impose fines on such citizens in the future? And whether updating credentials using the Reserve+ mobile application is sufficient to comply with the current requirements of the Laws of Ukraine?" the MP comments.
Fediyenko attached a response from the Ministry of Defence regarding the update of credentials using the Reserve+ mobile application.
According to Chernohorenko, under the Law "On mobilisation training and mobilisation", persons liable for military service are obliged to clarify their credentials through the Administrative Service Centres or the electronic office of a conscript, person liable for military service, reservist, or at the territorial recruitment and social support centre at their place of residence or location.
Persons liable for military service must specify their residential address, contact telephone number and e-mail address (if any).
The clarification of credentials through the Reserve+ mobile application is sufficient to fulfil the obligation provided for by law," the Ministry of Defence said in a response.
The ministry added that the clarification of credentials does not exempt persons liable for military service from complying with the rules of military registration.
