Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. A total of 107 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.
According to Censor.NET, this is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of 16 hours on November 2.
Russian strikes on the territory of Ukraine
The border settlements continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, in particular Pohrebky, Hrabovske, Iskryskivshchyna, Obody, Volfyne in the Sumy region; Tymofiyivka in the Kharkiv region. The invaders conducted air strikes in the areas of Yunakivka, Zhuravka and Basivka in the Sumy region, dropping 5 bombs.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
One attack was repelled, another is ongoing near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction. The Russians also carried out air strikes on Slatyn and Kozacha Lopan, using seven KABs.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out seven assault actions near Pishchane, Zahryzove, Zelene Hai, Kruhliakivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova. Two combat engagements ended, five more are ongoing. Pishchane was hit by air strikes with unguided missiles.
Hostilities in the East
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 13 times near Hrekivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Torsky and Serebrianskyi forest. Three enemy attacks remained incomplete.
One attack in the Siversk direction near the village of Ivano-Dariivka is ongoing.
Ukrainian defense forces stopped one Russian attack near Predtechyne in the Kramatorsk direction.
With the support of bomber aircraft in the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Two battles ended without success for the occupiers, five more are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupants have made eight attempts to push our defenders from their positions near Mykolayivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Selydove and Vyshneve. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught and repelled three attacks, five firefights are still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
The Kurakhove direction is the hottest today - the enemy attacked 35 times near Illinka, Novoselydivka, Novodmitrivka, Hostre, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka. 18 battles have been completed, 17 more are still ongoing.
Situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, the occupiers attacked the positions of our troops near Trudove and Maksymivka four times without success. The enemy launched an air strike in the areas of Novodariivka, Bohoiavlenka, Maksymivka and Velyka Novosilka, dropping six KABs and using 30 NARs.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy continues to shell Ukrainian troops' positions and civilian infrastructure, our defenders repelled two attacks in the area of Nesterianka, and the enemy launched an air strike with unguided missiles on Lobkove and dropped bombs on Mala Tokmachka, Yurivka and Novopavlivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian invaders stormed our defenders' positions twice without success. The situation is under control.
According to the General Staff, the situation in other areas of the front has not changed significantly.
