There are cases of Russian soldiers committing suicide at front because they are afraid of captivity - Khortytsia OSTG

There are cases of Russian occuiers committing suicide on the frontline to avoid surrender, but many Russian soldiers prefer captivity.
According to Censor.NET, citing LIGA.net, this was reported by the spokesman for the Khortytsia OSGT Nazar Voloshyn.
When asked if there were any cases of suicides by Russians in the area of responsibility of Khortytsia, Voloshyn answered in the affirmative.
"It should be borne in mind that Russian propaganda is actively working to convince their personnel that they will face terrible torture and death in captivity. This information is conveyed not only through the propaganda media, but also by their command directly," said the spokesman.
Despite this, there are often cases when the occupiers surrender in the area of responsibility of Khortytsia, Voloshyn added.
In particular, over the past week, 42 Russians have voluntarily laid down their arms. This happened over several days in different groups.
On November 24 alone, 13 Russian soldiers were captured. In addition, the Khortytsia spokesman said, there was a case when one of the occupiers told Ukrainian soldiers during the surrender that "it is better to be captured than to die from their commanders."
According to him, Russian commanders threatened the Russian with death.
In total, over the past week, the occupiers lost 7,366 servicemen in the east, in the OSGT area of responsibility.
