President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the European Council Antonio Costa, who arrived on an official visit to Kyiv.
Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
"I am glad to welcome the new leadership of European institutions, President of the European Council Antonio Costa, to Ukraine today - on the first day of his work. We discussed our vision of European and global affairs - existing problems and prospects," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, this symbolic start of work reflects the main priorities for all of us in Europe.
"Peace is the foundation, and we will continue to do everything we can to end this war unleashed by Russia not only against Ukraine but also against the united Europe as soon as possible, to end this war fairly and to strengthen our Europe - the EU institutions and the policy of supporting every European country. I am grateful for the support of Ukraine from the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion," Zelenskyy summarizes.
