On 2 December 2024, during an enemy drone attack on Ternopil, the Rements family suffered. The husband was killed, the wife covered her daughter and was injured.

As noted, the 45-year-old father, Vitalii Remenets, was killed. The wife, who was covering her younger daughter Veronika, 11-years-old, with her own body, survived but was injured.
Their apartment, where they had lived for over 10 years, burned down.
The memorial service for Vitalii Remenets will be held on 3 December, at 19.00, in the chapel of the Church of the Mother of God of Perpetual Help of the UGCC on Dmytro Halytskyi Boulevard.
The funeral will be held on 4 December at 11.00 am in the village of Nyrkiv, Tovste community, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region.
As reported, on the night of 2 December in Ternopil, ruscists hit a multi-storey building, killing and seriously injuring people. Later, it became known that 1 person was killed and 3 were injured as a result of the enemy attack.
