Zelenskyy called for negotiations on strong positions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that it is worth pushing Russia to a real, sustainable peace.

The head of state said this during a meeting of the European Council, Censor.NET reports.

"Europe should be at the negotiating table when the time comes. Like Ukraine, the EU should start negotiations in a strong position, and the strength of Europe is in unity.

We need to work in a coordinated way for a lasting peace, not just a suspension of hostilities, which Putin is seeking to buy time. We must push Moscow to a real, sustainable and guaranteed peace," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, in January, Donald Trump will increase efforts to end the war.

"It depends on us whether Europe will support him with a strong, united voice," he concluded.
