Ukraine will not continue transit of Russian gas - Zelenskyy

Ukraine will not continue transit of Russian gas

At a press conference in Brussels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine does not intend to continue transiting Russian gas.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"We will not continue the transit of Russian gas, we will not give the opportunity to earn additional billions on our blood. Any country in the world that can get something cheap from Russia will eventually become - whether tomorrow or in a month or a year - dependent on the Russian Federation. This is their policy. Therefore, we will not transit Russian gas," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President also noted that Ukraine is ready to consider the possibility of transiting gas of other origin, provided that the funds do not go to Russia.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, December 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels to attend a meeting of the European Council.
