Mechanized attacks by Russians have become rare in Kharkiv sector, - "Kharkiv" OGT
In the Kharkiv region, Russians fired 219 times at Ukrainian positions over the past day, resulting in enemy losses - 62 occupants were killed.
This was reported by the spokesperson for the "Kharkiv" military operation, Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Romanov, on the air of the "United News" telethon, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the Russians have rarely used the equipment for mass attacks lately. They are more likely to use it to transport attack aircraft, and the attacks are mostly carried out at night or during bad weather conditions, such as rain or fog.
"They don't move in columns like that anymore. Sometimes there are mechanized assaults, but this equipment is detected in time and destroyed at the far frontiers. The main task of reconnaissance, artillery, and unmanned systems is to destroy these groups as far as possible from the position where the infantry is waiting for the enemy," Romanov said.
Earlier, the spokesman reported the use ofsmall infantry groups by Russian invaders in the Kharkiv region.
