Zelenskyy at Headquarters: Number of killed and wounded DPRK soldiers in Kursk region exceeds 3 thousand people

On Monday, December 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief's Staff.
The head of state announced this on Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, during the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported to the President that there are risks of sending more soldiers and military equipment to the Russian army from North Korea.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine would respond to every such action.
Now, according to preliminary data, the number of killed and wounded North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region exceeds 3,000. And it is important for the world to understand that the risk of destabilization around the Korean Peninsula and in neighboring regions and waters is increasing in proportion to the growth of cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. The transfer of modern warfare experience and the spread of military technology from Russia is a global threat. For the world, the price of restoring stability is always much higher than the price of effective pressure on those who destabilize the situation and destroy lives," he said.
The situation in Syria
In addition, the meeting discussed work with Syria after the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad's regime and his escape.
The intelligence agencies - the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine - reported today to the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. We are determining our strategy and concrete steps. Ukraine is interested in stabilizing the situation in Syria and the region as a whole and will support the necessary efforts of its partners," the president emphasized.
Zelenskyy noted that "it is fundamental for the security of the people of Syria and the region as a whole to remove any Russian presence from Syria."
"We are grateful to every country and every leader who is now ready to help Syrian society restore normal life and build effective state institutions. We will definitely support the people of Syria in food security. All the necessary decisions have been made on our part, and Ukraine is ready to supply food," the president added.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to work with representatives of the Syrian people to correct the mistakes of the Assad regime, in particular, regarding Ukraine and the whole of Europe.
