Zelenskyy spoke with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew: We are doing everything to make 2025 year of just peace

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Christmas Eve.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"I thanked His All-Holiness for the spiritual support of Ukraine and prayers for the Ukrainian people and congratulated the Patriarch on the upcoming holidays - Christmas and New Year. Ukraine is doing everything possible to make 2025 a year of just and lasting peace for our country and the whole world," the statement reads.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine appreciates the steps of the Patriarchate to strengthen support for Ukraine among the world religious community and efforts to gain spiritual independence.
"I am grateful to Patriarch Bartholomew for wishing the Ukrainian people strength, courage and God's blessing, as well as for his congratulations on Christmas," the president concluded.
