Some positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces lost in Kurakhove sector - OSGT "Khortytsia"

Over the past day, on 24 December 2024, Russian troops conducted actions in Vovchansk and in the Vysoka Yaruga area in the Kharkiv sector to develop the offensive: they were unsuccessful.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the OSGT "Khortytsia".

As noted, enemy units became more active in the Kupyansk direction. In the direction of Vilshany, Petropavlivka, Pishchane Kolisnykivka, Stelmakhivka, Zelenyi Hai and Lozova, enemy assault groups unsuccessfully attacked our positions.

According to the OSGT "Khortytsia", in the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted assault operations in the direction of Kovalivka, Novoiehorivka, Terny and in the area of Makiivka: the enemy's attacks were repelled.

"Despite the numerous losses, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical situation in Chasiv Yar and Toretsk. It is conducting assaults in urban areas," the statement said.

"In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the area of Dacheske, Shevchenko, Pishchane, Novotroitske, Sontsivka and Stari Terny. Numerous assault groups are trying to advance. Measures to detect and defeat enemy assault groups are underway," the statement added.

The OSGT "Khortytsia" also informs that the enemy's activity remains high in the Kurakhove sector. In the urban area of Kurakhove, in the areas of Dalne, Dachne and Uspenivka, enemy assault groups are trying to further infiltrate our combat formations. Some positions of the defence forces have been lost. The enemy is continuing to amass forces for further attacks.

In the Vremivka sector, firefights took place in the areas of Kostiantynopilske, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Storozhove and Velyka Novosilka. Measures to search for, detect and destroy enemy assault groups are underway.

Earlier, the OSGT "Khortytsia" reported that the enemy had intensified offensive actions in several directions simultaneously.
