Russians have not amassed enough offensive forces and means to force crossing over Dnipro River in Kherson region - Southern Defense Forces

Russia has not amassed enough forces to force a crossing over the Dnipro in Kherson region

Ukraine's intelligence does not currently record that Russian troops have amassed enough forces and means to force a crossing over the Dnipro River in the Kherson region.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"To attack Kherson, it is necessary to force a crossing over such a large water barrier as the Dnipro River. To conduct a forced crossing of it, it is necessary to gather enough forces and means, which are very difficult to hide with today's intelligence tools. At present, our intelligence has not detected and cannot say that the enemy has amassed enough offensive forces and means to make a forced crossing of the Dnipro River," he explained.

According to Voloshyn, the occupants are currently conducting five to seven assault force operations, which are more like reconnaissance and search operations.

"What an assault looks like: two or three boats, five or seven people trying to land on our shore or more in the island zone, in particular on Kozatskyi Island, to conduct assault operations there, to drive our defenders out of there. Almost all of this island zone of the Dnipro is under the fire control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the spokesman added.

Voloshyn noted that the invaders are not successful, and such reconnaissance and search operations are more like "reconnaissance by combat" to identify the firepower of Ukrainian soldiers, defense features, obstacles and barriers.

In addition, the invaders in the south have increased the number of artillery attacks and kamikaze drone strikes by about a third.

The day before, the Southern Defense Forces claimed that Russian troops wanted to seize a bridgehead on the right bank of the Kherson region.
