After the Russian attack on Ukraine on Christmas Day, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is not interested in peace.

"The butcher in the Kremlin is not interested in peace, Russia's policy is war," Braže said.
According to her, the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine is to continue to support Ukraine on the battlefield, in the energy sector, financially and politically, while limiting Russia.
