Since the beginning of the day, 211 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The enemy is attacking intensively in the Pokrovsk direction but suffers significant losses.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff on the situation at the front as of 10 p.m. on December 25, Censor.NET reports.
Russian attacks on the territory of Ukraine
The enemy launched one missile and 12 air strikes using 78 missiles and 29 GABs, 690 kamikaze strikes, and fired over 4,500 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements using various types of weapons.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, three combat engagements with Russian invaders took place near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried seven times to force our units out of their positions near Dvorichna, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka and Lozova. One combat engagement is ongoing.
The situation in the East
The enemy attacked twenty-six times in the Lyman sector, trying to advance in the directions of Novoiehorivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Serebriansky Forest and in the direction of Druzheliubivka. Nadiia and Zelenyi Hai came under enemy fire.
In the Siversk direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy attempts to advance near the settlements of Stupochky, Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
The enemy tried 12 times to break into our defense in the Toretsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants in the areas of Toretsk, Dyliivka and Shcherbynivka have received a fierce rebuff from our defenders eight times. Four attacks are still ongoing.
The enemy is intensifying its attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The aggressor made 55 assault and offensive attacks there during the day. The Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Zelene and Novotroitske. Forty-seven attacks in the direction have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and eight more combat engagements are ongoing. At the same time, the enemy launched air strikes with GABs against Pokrovsk and Kotlyne.
Our soldiers are making every effort to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. According to currently available information, the aggressor’s losses in this direction total 276 personnel, including 149 killed in action. Additionally, 14 vehicles, two ATVs, one ATGM, and one mortar were destroyed, while another mortar and one vehicle were damaged," the General Staff reported.
There are 31 combat engagements in the Kurakhove direction as of this time of day. The invaders maintain high activity, trying to advance in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Yasenove, Kurakhove, Andriivka and Dachne. Defense Forces units repelled 24 enemy attacks, seven of which are still ongoing.
The situation in the South
There were 34 firefights in the Vremivka direction. 33 enemy attacks have already been stopped by our defenders in the areas of Kostyantynopolske, Yantarne, Kostyantynopol, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Blahodatne and Vremivka. One attack is still ongoing. The enemy also used aircraft in the areas of Vremivka and Burlatske.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders successfully repelled two enemy attempts to advance in the area of Novodanylivka.
Twice without success, the invaders' troops tried to force the units of the Defense Forces out of their positions in the Prydniprovske direction.
The situation in the North
Twenty-six combat engagements took place in the Kursk direction today, three are still ongoing. The enemy made 420 artillery attacks during the day.
The General Staff also added that the enemy has not conducted any active operations in the Huliaipole direction since the beginning of the day.
