Three Russian Army officers killed in Zaporizhzhia as result of HIMARS strike, - Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. VIDEO&PHOTOS
Three senior officers of the Russian occupation troops were eliminated as a result of a successful operation by the Active Action Department of the Main Directorate of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the "Tavria" operational grouping of troops.
This is reported by the press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
Details of a successful operation
It is noted that the DIU employees received information about a planned meeting with the participation of officers of the command of the 4th Guards Military Base of the Russian occupation forces, who are involved in the criminal war against Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia region.
After verification and confirmation of the data, the military intelligence developed a plan of operation, which involved the forces and means of the OGT "Tavria", the USF 190th Training Centre and the SSU "Typhoon" Tactical Group.
"Immediately after the start of the field meeting of the occupiers, a precision strike from HIMARS was launched on the cluster of Russian officers and their vehicles, and after the arrival of the evacuation group, the invaders were attacked by strike drones of the Ukrainian Security and Defence Forces," the intelligence said.
As a result of the operation, three officers of the Russian occupation forces were killed:
- Captain Nagorny Dmitry Olegovich, commander of the 1st battalion of the 135th motorised rifle regiment of the Russian Armed Forces;
- Captain Krokhmalev Grigoriy Oleksandrovich, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Chief of Intelligence of the 135th Motorised Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces;
- Captain Fomin Yury Viktorovich, commander of the anti-aircraft battery of the 4th Guards Military Base of the Russian Armed Forces.
In addition, 5 units of Russian military vehicles were destroyed.
