SSU convicts Russian military for looting in Chernihiv region

A court in absentia sentenced a Russian military officer to 12 years in prison for robbing an agricultural enterprise in the Chernihiv region.

Serhiy Fail Khusnutdinov, a rifleman of the 74th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces, together with other occupiers, seized a private agricultural enterprise in the village of Andriivka, Chernihiv district, in March 2022.

The attackers stole office equipment, household appliances and office furniture. The Security Service documented the facts of looting, and based on the evidence collected, the court passed a verdict in absentia: 12 years in prison.

Khusnutdinov was convicted of violating the laws and customs of war by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Article 28, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Chernihiv region under the supervision of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
