Russia is capable of continuing war against Ukraine at same scale as it is now - Budanov
Russia has the ability to continue to wage war against Ukraine in the same scale as it is now.
This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
Answering the question of whether the Russian Federation is capable of continuing the war in the same volumes as now, Budanov said: "Unfortunately, it is capable. It is capable of doing so in the current scale."
At the same time, according to the head of military intelligence, the Russian economy is slowly regressing.
"But as I said earlier, in 2025 we will definitely see the Russian economy and financial sector approaching a dangerous point, but this is not the destruction of the Russian Federation. This should be clearly understood. This is the line after which they will have to make serious systemic decisions at the state level," the DIU chief said.
He noted that Russia will hold out until then. "Yes, they can completely switch to the military, but whether they want to is a big question," Budanov added.
