Zelensky signs law on deferment of mobilization for relatives of those killed or missing in action

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on deferment and demobilisation for relatives of those killed or missing in action.

This is stated in the card of the relevant document No. 12104 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports.

The law clarifies the grounds for granting a deferment from military service during mobilization to those whose close relatives were killed or went missing while participating in hostilities.

The law defines relatives as spouses, children, parents, and siblings (including half-siblings).

The bill proposes to amend clause 4 of part 3 of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization and Mobilization Preparation" and to restate it in a wording that provides for the right to deferment in such cases.
