Enemy is trying to reach Pavlohrad-Pokrovsk road, - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Tsehotskyi
The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot in the frontline. The occupiers are trying to surround Pokrovsk and cut off logistical routes.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Tsehotskyi.
"We are keeping the situation under control and will destroy the enemy as long as necessary. On the New Year's Eve, many occupiers have been eliminated in the Pokrovsk direction," the officer said.
Tsekhotskyi also stressed that the enemy is aware of the increase in its losses and is trying to encircle Pokrovsk. In particular, Russian troops are trying to reach the Pavlohrad-Pokrovsk road to force the Ukrainian garrison to abandon its positions. However, the city's defence forces continue to keep the situation under control and are ready to take further action in case of escalation.
As a reminder, on the night of 2 January, it became known that Russians were advancing in Kurakhove and 5 other settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
