2024 was most difficult year for energy system - Halushchenko
Last year, Russian troops began striking at the energy sector in March. It was the most difficult year for Ukraine's energy sector.
This was stated by Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"It was really the most difficult year (2024). Because even if we analyze the strikes that took place in 2022 and 2023, they (Russian troops - Ed.) started massive strikes there, for example, on October 10. In 2024, they started much earlier, in March," he said.
Halushchenko noted that the damage caused by the strikes on the energy sector was very large and, in general, much greater than in previous years.
In particular, the nature of the strikes, the complexity and the weapons used by Russia have changed.
