Shelling of Chasiv Yar continues constantly. Enemy drones are actually organizing "safari" on civilians - head of CMA Chaus

situation in Chasiv Yar on morning of February 3

Chasiv Yar suffers from constant shelling and drone attacks by Russian occupation forces.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the head of the Chasiv Yar CMA Serhii Chaus on Espreso TV channel.

"The situation in Chasiv Yar remains extremely tense. Constant fighting and attacks make the town extremely dangerous. Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and holding back the enemy's advance, but the situation is complicated by the active use of enemy drones," Chaus said.

According to the head of the Chasiv Yar CMA, the residents who remained in the city are trying to survive. These are mostly elderly people. Most of them live on the first floors of high-rise buildings or in basements, as the shelling does not stop.

"One of the most difficult problems is enemy drones. Yesterday, an elderly man was killed again as a result of a drone strike. The enemy drones are practically organizing a "safari". For them, it doesn't matter whether a person is just walking down the street or running from the basement to their home. But despite the difficult situation, the number of evacuation requests is gradually decreasing," Chaus emphasized.

As a reminder, as of January 2, 2025, Ukrainian troops control virtually the entire town of Chasiv Yar and are repelling enemy attacks. At the same time, the Russian invaders have been trapped in the suburbs across the Siverskyi Donetsk-Donbas Canal.
