Ukraine manages to return 505 marines from Russian captivity - Coordination Center

505 Marines returned from Russian captivity

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, thanks to the joint work of the Coordination Headquarters and other structures, 505 Ukrainian marines have been returned from Russian captivity.

This was announced during a press conference by the Secretary of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War Dmytro Usov, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"Thanks to the work of the Coordination Headquarters and all related structures under the chairmanship of the Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, we have managed to return 505 marines from different directions, most of them from Mariupol," Usov said.

He noted that 1,000 days of captivity is a long time, especially when it comes to human lives. Mr. Usov emphasized that currently more than 3,000 marines are still in captivity or have the status of missing persons. These figures have been confirmed by the International Committee of the Red Cross and other sources.

As a reminder, the total number of Russian soldiers who surrendered as part of the I Want to Live project is more than a battalion.
