Polish Defense Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz on Ramstein: This may be last meeting of this format

The meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's defense in the Ramstein format, which will take place on Thursday, January 9, may be the last after the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.
This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference, 300 Polityka reports, Censor.NET reports.
He reminded thatthe Ramstein format is wider than NATO.
"The creator of this is Lloyd Austin, who is still the current US Secretary of Defense. I would like to thank him first of all for his uncompromising support of Poland, for the presence of American troops in Poland, for supporting Ukraine, for joint initiatives," Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
The Polish minister noted that "this may be the last meeting of this type, as the new US administration is likely to propose a different form of this activity."
"I believe that NATO should take on a greater burden, as it has taken on a greater burden now, starting this year, in activities related to the protection of the airport in Yasenka," he added.
Kosiniak-Kamysz reminded that Poland leads a coalition of armored forces together with Germany and Italy, so at the meeting he plans to present the achievements that have already been made during the three years of full-scale war in Ukraine and how much assistance has been provided to Kyiv.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that at the meeting, Ramstein will draw up a plan for Ukraine's defense capability until 2027.
