France’s leadership in the coming months will be essential to ensure that Ukraine has everything it needs to defend itself, - Blinken

US Secretary of State Blinken

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken believes that in the coming months, France's leadership will be of great importance in supporting Ukraine.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"I think that in the coming months, France's leadership will be important to ensure that Ukraine has everything it needs to defend its democratic independence, whether on the battlefield or at the negotiating table," the US Secretary of State said at a press conference with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barro in Paris.

Blinken emphasized that France has been one of the staunchest supporters of a free Ukraine from the very beginning, capable of withstanding and overcoming Russia's ongoing aggression.

"The global support for Ukraine that France and the United States have helped to bring together is one of the most remarkable examples of burden sharing I have ever seen," the Secretary of State said.

According to Blinken, one of the topics he discussed with Barro was "the fact that Ukraine is perhaps the best example of the assertion that security in Europe is intertwined with security around the world."

As reported, on January 8, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in France to discuss a number of issues, including support for Ukraine's defense against Russia's aggressive war.
