Ukraine sees Trump presidency as opportunity - Sybiha

Ukraine views the upcoming presidency of Donald Trump, who will take office next week, as a new opportunity for cooperation.

This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in an interview with the German TV channel ARD, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We see the period after January 20 as an opportunity," Sybiha said, emphasizing that Ukraine and the United States are united in their desire to achieve a quick end to the war and a just peace.

Earlier, US President-elect Donald Trump said he hoped to end Russia's war against Ukraine in six months.
